#99 letter of encouragement

Dear Sandy,

Hey girl, how you doin? That shirt you were wearing today was looking a little loose. Good for you! Stay away from those cookies and keep riding that bike every day. This little upswing you've been on will surely end soon. Don't give up.

I was checking out your list of goals for April. Pretty ambitious! Looks like you want to accomplish a little spring cleaning, keep in touch with friends and family, and take time for yourself. Those are all good. I wish you luck with your goals, and I'm here if you need me for support and encouragement.

There was one thing missing on your list. You don't really have any goals to do anything creative. May I suggest you try finishing that scrapbook you started last year? The one from your trip to Mexico? You don't have very much left to do on it, and wouldn't it feel good to get that done? If you got that out of the way, then you could start on the scrapbook for this year's vacation. I know you're looking forward to that!

Why is it that you have such a hard time completing those scrapbooks? You start out with such excitement and you make some fun pages, then you peter out when you get close to the end. Do you have a fear of closure? Do you feel that when the scrapbook is finished, the vacation is really over? You do realize that the vacation is over, don't you? I mean, what are you waiting for? Instead of playing spider solitaire or free cell, you could totally crank out a scrapbook page!

Here's another suggestion: when you schedule scrapbook time in your planner, you should actually try to do it. Then you won't have to keep moving it forward and feeling guilty about it. Just do it, girl!

I'm not trying to harp on you. I just want you to feel the accomplishment of completing the thing and to feel the thrill of using your creativity. I know that you will feel proud of yourself when you get that Mexico scrapbook done, and I know it's going to look great.

Have a great April. Good luck on those goals. Remember, I'm here for you and I know you can do it!

Love ya,
RedRed

ps This NaBloPoMo theme for April, letters, is pretty cool and kind of fun!
