Tomorrow is Halloween. I used to love Halloween as a kid. I remember dressing up as a gypsy many times. It was easy and fun and you got lots of candy. There was a lady on my street who made soft, delicious popcorn balls. If T got a homemade popcorn ball, I wouldn't let him eat it. I'd throw it away. Sad, huh?
At my work we have a big Halloween party. There are lots of decorations and preparations and food and merriment. There is even a costume contest. I haven't dressed up in years. I like to dress up, but only for a couple of hours. After that, it's just kind of annoying to go through the whole day with weird make-up on. Forget about it if you wear a wig. It's itchy and uncomfortable and there's no way you actually can work, but what else is there to do at work? I suppose I could just sit around and chat all day, but that doesn't seem right, either.
A pair of my co-workers decided that I should dress up to "show management support" for the party. They told me this today. You know how many costumes are left at my neighborhood Sears? How much Halloween make-up? None. There's a lot of Christmas decorations, though.
So will I dress up? My sister, who is a Halloween genius, gave me some good suggestions, but alas, it was too late to follow her plan. So we'll see what happens tomorrow.
