I'm really fired up tonight! I'm upset because a student from T's junior high was hit by a car in the cross walk this morning. This is the second accident that I know of since school started. HELLO PEOPLE! That's a crosswalk and those kids are walking to school. SLOW DOWN! YIELD TO THE PEDESTRIANS!
T happens to know the girl who was hit today. He said she has a broken leg, a broken collarbone, pelvis and maybe an arm. How sad is that?
It's very upsetting! I'm thankful that T doesn't have to cross the busy street to get to school, but he does have to cross a street to get to the bus stop. We talked about it tonight and he promised me that he would be very diligent about looking both ways before crossing the street and making sure he was safe.
Ugh. It just makes me sick to think of that poor girl in the hospital today. Her poor parents! It's just wrong.
Please, please...slow down in school zones. Watch out for people. Pay attention when you drive. It's so easy to get distracted for a second when you're driving, and that's all it takes for an accident to happen.

This is really sad, they should put people like that in jail! I guess they don't have cross guards at a Jr High. I'm glad you had a talk wityh Tristan about being very careful.
