#1147 TBT thinking of babies

NO! Not thinking of having a baby, but thinking of babies.

SHEESH.

At work tomorrow, we are having a baby shower for one of our co-workers.  It's her first and it's a boy. Since I wasn't thinking very far ahead when I went out to the stores on Tuesday night, I had to go out tonight to get a gift for the baby.

Trying to figure out what to buy for Marta's baby made me think of when T was a baby and what things I used the most and what I enjoyed about the time when he was so little. I definitely used onesies all the time. That's what he wore when we were just hanging around our house. They were easy and comfy and so cute! So I bought Marta a five-pack of onesies. They are so precious! One has a little dump truck on it :) And they are so soft.

I also got her some night-time bath gel and lotion. I loved giving T a bath, especially when he was really small and I set up his little bathtub at the kitchen sink. He was so slippery! After bath-time was extra great because I could rub lovely smelling lavendar lotion on his chubby little arms and legs and over his round little belly. He loved it and so did I.

I was thinking back on that beautiful memory this afternoon, and suddenly those chubby legs became long and thin and hairy! T is certainly not a baby anymore and he would freak out if I even offered to rub lotion on his back. (We only use spray-on sunscreen.)

Still, I have my memories. When I was able to shake off the hairy leg thought, I thought of this picture, and I decided that I had to share it with you:

AWWW! How cute is he? He was four months old in this pic. :)

I loved it when he got his bath in the kitchen sink! He was like a little Buda :)

Ahh so cute :-) I know the feeling from the chubby, cuddly, good-smeeling little baby erupts a long, tall, hairy, beautiful man.
The transition is strange for a mother sometimes and sometimes I do miss those cuddling days. But now I do get big hugs again :-)
I'm so exited to see him again :-)
Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
