Today was T's last day of school, the end of his sophomore year of high school.
When I took him to school this morning, there was not a lot going on there. Mostly the kids were there to pick up their yearbooks.
I thought back to the first day of school last fall. There were tons of kids hanging out in front of the school, greeting their friends and hanging out in the sunshine before going to class. It kind of reminded my of the opening scene in the movie Grease when all the "kids" were getting to school and standing around outside.
That first day of school didn't feel like all that long ago. For me, the school year passed in a hurry. I got kind of teary because there are only two more years of high school left and I know they will pass by in a flash.
I'm not ready for him to grow up and move on :o(
