1. The weather is definitely feeling fall-like here. Today our high temperature was only in the low 60s (17.2C). It was sunny in the morning and in the afternoon there was a rain/hail storm with thunder.I didn't mind the cooler temperatures because I bought a really cute shirt with little stylized hedgehogs on it that I was happy to wear. I also had a cute vest that I wore with it. I likes vests!
2. New York Yankee captain Derek Jeter played his last game yesterday in Boston. I am no Yankee fan, or Derek Jeter fan, but I appreciate that he played his whole career with the Yankees and that you never heard about him doing anything bad. He represented the game and the team and himself very well and I do like that.
3. Speaking of baseball, it's time for the playoffs! Tomorrow is the American League play-in game where the two wild card teams will play a single game to see who gets to play in the divisional series. Tomorrow's game will be the Oakland Athletics vs the Kansas City Royals. I think I'd like to see the A's win. In the National League, the San Francisco Giants will play the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Gotta go for the Giants there. I know a guy associated with the team ;)
That's three things, but I have a bonus one tonight!
4. On Friday night my friends Kelsie and Nicole went to the Blake Shelton concert here in town. They were lucky enough to get "Meet and Greet" passes and got to meet Blake, get an autograph and have their picture taken with him! How cool is that!! Now I have one degree of separation from Blake Shelton.
