#1505 TBT first day of school

I'm annoyed with myself tonight. I've spent the past 40 minutes looking for a specific photo of T on the first day of kindergarten, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I sat in the room where all the photos are - real, actual photos, some in books, some in boxes - and I felt disheartened by my lack of photo organization. Sounds like a winter project!

Back to Throwback Thursday!

Yesterday was T's first day of his senior year of high school. I felt a little weepy about it, but I tried to keep my wits about me, at least in front of him. I can be very sentimental and I think it bugs my menfolk. Oh well. It's who I am, man!  T let me take a couple of photos of him. In the first one, he moved slightly, probably because he was smiling. His eyes are closed and it's slightly blurry. I like it and I sent it to my mom and sister. My mom posted it here. And strangely, she also posted the EXACT photo I spent the past 40 minutes looking for! GRR.

I took a second photo of T and he has pulled himself together and got all serious:

I think he looks a lot like his dad in the photo.

And because it is Throwback Thursday and looking at old photos is fun, here's a photo of T's first day of school 10 years ago. Must have been second grade, huh?

Oh my gosh! Look at that cheesy grin! It was the Age of Yu-Gi-Oh. Such simple times!

My baby is a senior in high school! This fall we are going to be filling out college applications and scholarship applications and all that kind of stuff. Where did the time go? Seems like just yesterday he was playing with his little action figures and collecting all those Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh/Dragonball Z cards.

I sure do love that kid!

Time seems to get away from us. T was such a cute and fun kid. Now he is a young man, handsome and still fun. When I would visit you guys he always greeted me with such joy. Loved it.
