Hello from Sacramento! Well, technically Rancho Cordova, but it's all linked together.
I am here for two days of training that is designed for plant engineers and the emphasis is the financial side of the business. Since that's what I deal with, I thought it would be good to come along and learn something. I've been doing my job for a long time, but you can always learn new stuff, right? Maybe someone out there is doing the same things that I do but does it in a way that is better and faster and I can adapt what I do and get better. That's what it's all about!
There are two plant engineers from our office that came with me: Phil and Tyler. Both of them are fairly new. Tyler was an intern and has been working with us full time for almost two years. Phil was also and intern and came on full time this year. They are both very nice, earnest fellows. We went out to dinner tonight and they were asking me about some of the history of our branch office. It was kind of strange, but kind of fun, too.
While we were checking into our rooms, I saw a couple of people I know. I wonder how many other people I will know?
The training starts tomorrow morning.
Tonight I am going to sprawl out on this huge bed and control the remote, read and chill out.
