#2345 self-care Sunday
When I got home from looking for toilet paper at the stores this morning (no luck), I decided that I would spend the rest of the day taking care of myself. To start, I took a nice shower in which I washed and moisturized my hair and even put on a hair mask to make my hair feel silky and soft. I shaved my legs and pits too. After the shower, I slathered myself with that lotion I got from Whole Foods, the one that smells like lemons and coconut.
Next up, the face. I have a really nice rose-scented mask that I got from Trader Joe's. Don't sleep on their little skin/beauty section. I have a TON of products from there. (You shouldn't be surprised.) There will be a day when I will show you all the Trader Joe's personal care stuff I have! At the end of the mask time, I used thick, luxurious Aveeno moisturizer on my face. It felt so decadent.
Since then I have been doing some stuff around the house like paying the bills, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry, but just a little at a time.
MT and I just got back from lunch. Now I think I will go lay on my bed and read for awhile. Later I am going to change the sheets on my bed, paint my fingernails, watch a movie that makes me smile (don't know what yet), read some more, maybe take a walk and/or a nap, and just try to let my worries go.
Take care of yourselves, friends.
Wash your hands.
